This site includes examples of my work as a painter and teacher.

Painter

My recent paintings are mostly Bristol ( UK)   subjects – some are observations, some memories and some confections that  have begun from an experience of the city.

I have always created drawings, prints and paintings about things that I experience and see around me.  After many years of painting, exhibiting and teaching  I feel that the subject  of a painting is only a small  part of why it has been created . Looking at and making images offers a range of metaphors, meanings, consolations and considerations that is always  exciting and enriching.

Teacher

I have taught across a large range of students and educational levels and, over time, assembled a lot of material.
I will  build this in to the website over time.
